Ice Prince and Jesse Jagz Officially Unveil Their Own Record Label [PICS]

Rappers, Ice Prince and Jesse Jagz have officially unveiled their own record labels.

Chocolate City Group on Monday morning announced that two music labels, Super Cool Cats and JagzNation will now be record label imprints under Chocolate City Music label.

This will make them the first African record label to follow in the footsteps of international heavyweights such as Universal Music and Sony Music Group, to have subsidiary record label imprints.

The two new labels are owned and headed by Ice Prince and Jesse Jagz respectively.


Reacting to the news at the press conference, Chocolate City Music Chairman, MI Abaga said, ‘It’s not a destruction of Chocolate City, but an investment in the two new imprints towards building an empire. This announcement has been in the works for months and it is easier for both prolific artistes to keep up with the pace of their creativity when under their own independent labels’.

This means that Ice Prince and Jesse Jagz will be releasing their projects under their own labels but will still be managed by chocolate city.

They join the growing list of rappers that have been starting their own record labels in Nigeria recently.
