Nigerians Blast Rapper, Wale For Questioning Wizkid's Billboard Milestone [PICS]
Yesternight Genius mentioned on twitter that Wizkid has become the first Nigerian artiste to make the Billboard Hot 100 chart and popular rapper Wale had a questionable reaction to that report by replying the tweet with a thinking face emoji.
Nigerians following the MMG rapper, immediatly came for him on the popular social media platform asking Wale to identify himself as a Nigerian artiste.
“Show us your passport first,” one Tweeter user said, and another added, “You know you are not a Nigerian artiste? You’re an American artiste who’s also Nigerian. Two different things.”
Some of his fans alleged that he had previously refused to claim his heritage and was only doing so at a time Nigerian home-based singers started gaining global recognition.
