Speaker House of Assembly Beat Wife to Coma in Court

The speaker of the Ogun state House of Assembly, reportedly beat his wife to coma in court.

According to reports, Hon. Surajudeen Adekunbi who is the speaker of the Ogun state House of Assembly, mercilessly beat up his wife in a court in Abeokuta, yesterday, August 11.

Adekunbi’s wife who is an officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), reportedly went to the court asking for divorce from him, citing irreconcilable differences.

When the court ruled in his wife’s favour, an angry Adekunbi allegedly pounced on his wife, beating her to a coma in front of all present in court and taking away their daughter.

According to an NSCDC officer who had attempted to take pictures of the incident on his mobile phone, the speaker ordered his security men to beat him up also.
