Chocolate City Boss Audu Maikori Finally Released By DSS

The Chairman of Chocolate City Group, Audu Maikori, has been released by the Department of State Services (DSS). This has been confirmed by his personal assistant, Edward Israel-Ayide, via his Twitter page.

He wrote: “Thanks everyone for #FreeAudu He’s been released.”

Maikori was picked up by DSS operatives on Friday in Lagos over his comments on the Southern Kaduna crisis and reportedly flown to Abuja.

Earlier today, the Former Minister of Education, Madam Oby Ezekwesili, had revealed that Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, was making plans to charge, Audu to court on Monday before she intervened.

Ezekwesili, in a series of tweets also said she had pleaded with El-Rufai to accept Maikori’s apology for posting false information about the Southern Kaduna crisis online.

Two weeks ago, Maikori apologized to the College of Education in Gidan-Waya, Kaduna and the Kaduna State Government, for sending out false information about an attack on the school.
