How DSS Threat Made 2Face Idibia Cancel Mass Protest [PICS]

Nigerians were shocked and some left disappointed after they woke up on Sunday only to hear the sad news that music icon, 2Face Idibia had cancelled his One Voice Mass protest barley 24hours to the main event.

Tho the artiste claims that fear of the protest getting hijacked by people with ulterior motive was the reason for his swift decision to pull the switch many speculators have been coming out with various theories.

Daily Post had reported that 2Face mother, Rose Idibia had told her son to cancel the protest, however this seemed far from the truth as many believe 2face will not back down on national interest just to please his mother.

Another report however holds more water than the, 'my mother will beat me excuse'. Report from one of 2baba neighbors claim that the, 'Implication' singer was arrested by DSS officials who held him at their station for 23hrs of full interrogation. When he finally got his freedom, a shaken 2baba in a video cancelled the protest. Other reports that springs up from this line says that the musician was tortured and threatened, to cancel the protest.

President Buhari personal assistant on social media, Lauretta Onochie didn't help 2baba's case when she came out to state that 2Face Idibia has finally cancelled PDP's protest.

Lauretta says 2face Idibia confessed to being used to startup the protest, this has turned a lot of the singers supporters against him.

2baba in his defence has come out to deny getting arrested by the DSS and has instead called on Nigerians to write their grievances on social media with the tag #IstandwithNigeria .

As at press time the venue for the planned protest has been flooded by policemen who seemed hell bent on not allowing any protest to hold. God save Nigeria.
