Omoni Oboli’s Father Dies in Car Accident

Omoni Oboli’s father is dead.

According to Bellanaija, the actress’ father died yesterday morning in a car accident. The actress herself had hinted on the tragedy in an Instagram post in which she asked fans to pray for her family.

“The devil is a liar, pray for me and my family,” said the actress.

This heartbreaking news comes at same time she is still battling for the ownership of her latest movie, Okafor’s Law with writer Jude Idada.

Recall that in March, the actress was dealt a huge blow after a Lagos High Court Judge ordered the seizure of Okafor’s Law following the copyright infringement/trademark violation case filed against her by Raconteur Productions Ltd, on behalf of Mr Idada. The premiere of the film had therefore been stopped by a court injunction following accusation that the actress stole the idea from Idada. However, its ban was lifted and the film is still seen at cinemas around the country, while the actress and the writer continue to slug it out at the court of law.

Now, the Oboli family have been hit with a tragedy, and this has drawn widespread condolence from Nigerians.
