Toyin Abraham's 'Alakada Reloaded' Gross N70 million in Cinemas

Nigerian movie star Toyin Abraham is in high spirits as her latest work “Alakada Reloaded” is doing fantastically well at the cinema.

Barely one month of hitting the cinema, the movie has already grossed N70 million.

The movie crossed the  N70 million last week. Confirming the figure, Toyin's publicist, Samuel Olatunji stated: “Yes, it is true, Alakada Reloaded has grossed N70 million.”

Alakada Reloaded tells the story of Yetunde Animashaun, a young girl from a poor family background from the earlier two stories. Exploring the same inferiority complex and societal pressures from the first two films, she makes up stories about her financial status in order to fit in and stand out in the crowd.

The movie sees acts like Odunlade Adekola, Kemi Lala Akindoju, Iyabo Ojo, Kehinde Bankole, Woli Arole, Nedu, Helen Paul, Lilian Esoro, Annie Idibia, Bidemi Kosoko, Liz Da Silva, Gabriel Afolayan and comedian Ebiye.
