TRIALS OF THE LOVE LIFE OF FUNKE AKINDELE
There seem to be a lot of celebrities who seem put together like they have everything under control, but when it comes to love, now that is a different story entirely.
Our favorite TV girl Funke Akindele a.k.a Jenifa hasn’t had her own love life cut out for her rather it has been one roller coaster ride for the big screen diva as she has gone through the scandal, the mistake and the happily ever after in the game we call love.
Rumor has it that in 2009 Funke was in a sizzling romance with fellow colleague and actor Femi Adebayo who was then married at the time. Words on the street was that there was incredible chemistry between the duo and even whispers of pregnancy. Although these rumors were denied publicly by the duo, is there really any smoke without fire?
Funke’s love life took another leg when she found her own bad boy (what else would you call a guy with three different baby mamas), being the female she is she couldn’t resist the overtures of Kehinde Oloyede Almaroof (the bad boy in this episode) a man well versed in the act of seductions (as evidenced in his portfolio) and she fell in love, deep enough to accept the ring.
She had her fairytale wedding in May 2012. No expense was spared in ensuring that the wedding was fit for a queen, if only the success of a marriage was based on the size of the wedding ceremony. Funke had one of the shortest marriages recorded in the Nigerian entertainment industry. Some 14 months after a very lavish wedding, the marriage crashed with irreconcilable difference as the reason which makes one wonder where these differences sprung from especially after the knot had been tied.
Though she opened up later that the irreconcilable differences were actually verbal and emotional abuse.
Funke finally found love at the workplace when JJC warmed his way into her heart and swept our princess off her feet and because there is no affair as thrilling as a secret affair, the pair kept their relationship out of the public eye even up to a secret wedding in London 2016. Sources close to the couple reveal that they are happily in love and will soon be having additions into the family as our dearest Jenifa is pregnant with twins. It is our sincere hope that she continues to be happy. We wish them all the best.
