Jidenna Apologize For Not Performing At One Africa Music Fest After Show Got Cut Off Due To Poor Timing
Nigerian and organisers of One Africa Music Fest were faced with a huge embarrassment after their show got abruptly stopped at the event centre at the SSE Arena in Wembley, London due to poor organization and the usual Nigerian time palaver.
The show started 2 hours late and had to be rushed through towards the end, but despite the rush, one of the main acts, american singer, Jidenna could not perform at the annual festival.
He took to social media to apologize to his fans while advising the organisers and fellow Nigerians about paying more attention to their timing.
In his own words;
"The One Africa Music Fest was a epic and historical occasion, but I wanna apologise to the supporters that came out to support me and the others. I was not on the stage tonight not by my choice but apparently we went out of time. I'm not here to point fingers at the organisers or Paul Okoye but something went wrong tonight.
If we truly believe its our time, as Africans then we have to be on time. Especially in a city where you have 'Big Ben' overlooking it. We have to be on time, on our dial, on our dime, on our clock to make Africa great again."
Half way into the show the music acts who were slated the perform got half their time on stage. There was pandemonium reported backstage after Banky W was seen whispering to music acts to hurry up their set cause there was 'no time'.
Top stars who got their time cut short on stage include; Casper Nyovest, Sarkodie, M.I Abaga, Awilo, 9ice, Falz, Tekno, Tiwa Savage, Phyno, Olamide, Davido, Flavour and P-Square.
